What Are Thread Veins or Spider Veins?
The terms thread veins and spider veins are often used to describe a blood filled small hollow tube or vein. The term thread vein was first used around 1921 in the Washington Post, many think the term spider veins originated from Vogue magazine around 1976, these were used as descriptive terms readers could relate to. Medically known as ‘telangiectasia’, a term dating way back to 1873 in the writings of Thomas Hill Green, this really is also a descriptive word made up of three parts, TEL meaning end ANGI meaning blood ECTASIA expansion of a small hollow tube or organ. Hence the word telangiectasia. ThermaVein can safely treat any red vein on the body no matter what you chose to call them.
